A yearly happening!
Going once, going twice, sold! To the nice gentleman by the window. Congratulations!
The auction first saw the light of day in 1988, organized by The Knights of Beitostølen. The auction was thrown together ad-hoc through a rapid fundraising effort amongst Beitos business owners. The participants were siphoned from a local after-ski, and in 30 minutes 3500 NOK earmarked the coming years Ridderweek was secured.
The auction has grown quite a bit since its conception, and the two auctioneers now struggle to auction off all the equipment, gift cards, computers, trips, clothes, and art in the allotted time slot for the auction.
Although the auction has grown, it’s still a highly informal, good-spirited, and warm event.
